Lord Jesus, too often I allow circumstances to stand between You and me.
Today I ask You to reverse that order.
Stand between me and my fear. Stand between me and uncertainty. Stand between me and financial pressure, difficult decisions, opposition, disappointment, and everything I cannot control.
Let me see these things through You rather than seeing You through them.
Your Word says that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and that You work in all things for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
Therefore, I will not allow circumstances to define who You are.
You are good when I understand and when I do not understand.
You are faithful when the answer comes quickly and when I must wait.
You are Lord when the road is clear and when I cannot see the next step.
Keep my eyes upon You.
