The honest look back

Looking Back Honestly

The older I get, the less interested I am in rewriting the past to make myself look better. There was good in my life, and there was failure. There were things I built, people I helped, mistakes I made, and consequences I still carry. I am learning that honesty before God means holding all of that together without exaggerating either side. I do not need to pretend every painful thing was good. I do not need to deny the good because some things went badly. Grace lets me tell the truth and still trust God with the whole story.
