Father, I come before You weary, aware that I do not need to defend myself or prove myself to You. I need Your mercy. My strength is limited, my understanding is incomplete, and prolonged burdens have affected more than my circumstances; they have reached into my heart. Have mercy on me, Lord, and do not allow fear, disappointment, anger, suspicion, or bitterness to become the voice that guides me.
Help me remember what You have already done. When today’s troubles make me forget Your faithfulness, bring Your works back to my mind. You have carried me before, corrected me before, forgiven me before, provided for me before, and remained faithful even when I have not been faithful. Let the memory of Your goodness become stronger than the predictions of my fear.
My soul thirsts for You like dry ground thirsts for rain. I do not merely need solutions, relief, money, success, answers, or a clearer plan; I need You. Let me hear of Your steadfast love in the morning, because I trust in You. Restore my heart in Your presence before I make decisions from exhaustion or desperation.
Then, Lord, show me the way I should go. Teach me to do Your will, not merely to ask You to bless mine. Expose the places where pride, fear, self-protection, or impatience are influencing my judgment. Give me humility to accept correction, courage to obey when obedience is costly, and patience when the next faithful step is smaller than the solution I desire.
By Your good Spirit, lead me on level ground. Keep me from running ahead of You and from refusing to move when You have made the next step clear. Do not let prolonged battles harden my heart or cause me to become someone I would not recognize in the light of Christ.
I am Your servant. My circumstances do not define me, my failures do not have the final word over me, and the people or pressures around me do not determine who I become. Preserve in me truth, mercy, courage, humility, and love.
Restore me before You direct me, and then lead me wherever faithfulness requires.
In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
